Key Services

In its partnership role, ArtsEdge has both an education and arts and culture focus, with the overall aim being to advocate the value of the arts in enriching learning experiences and environments.

Programs

ArtsEdge encourages the development of exciting partnerships between the education, arts and cultural sectors.  We work to enable opportunities for students, educators and artists to work together though the promotion and distribution of the Artists in Schools Guide.

Professional Learning for Schools and Artists will provide access to and information from practitioners, consultants and advisory services regarding planning, developing and implementing arts learning experiences.  While sections of the program complement the Artists in Schools Guide, others are informed by the sector through seminars designed to provide artists and educators with up to date knowledge in special interest topics.

Projects

ArtsEdge is dedicated to visioning, developing, implementing and promoting events and projects which support, recognise, advocate and celebrate opportunities in arts in education.  These include industry events, briefings, conferences, workshops and marketing our services to a wide variety of audiences.

A major project is the continued development of ArtsEdge branded publications - both print and online through our extensive communication strategy.  This includes contributing to Telling Tales which is a companion publication to Artists in Schools:  The ArtsEdge Guide for Artists and Teachers in Western Australia 2007 - 2008.  As seen below, communication continues to be a priority project for ArtsEdge.

We also continue to work alongside the education, arts and cultural sectors in resource development and consultancy, as well as developing unique resources designed for specific needs in these communities as they arise.

Initiatives

New opportunities continue to evolve to embrace new relationships, recognise successes and celebrate projects including our Spotlight on Success.  By championing challenging and innovative programs in and for school communities, ArtsEdge works to develop, provide and promote  access to a wide range of arts and cultural experiences and opportunities for students, educators and artists to work together.

ArtsEdge continues to develop our networks of artists, arts organisations, educators and education providers to create exciting events designed (including the 10th Anniversary ArtsEdge Conference and ArtsMart held in 2008) to showcase arts in education opportunities and tap into the resources and audiences inherent in school communities.

Communication

ArtsEdge is about making connections between arts, culture and education. - this sharing of information and experiences strengthens skills and supports arts education.

We look forward to communicating the best in arts in education, whether presenting and attending at conferences and events across Western Australia, online through our website, e-newsletter and calendar of arts and cultural events, or facilitating networking through our own professional learning programs as well as the promotion of those run by leading specialist arts and education organisations.
