Standards and Reporting in The Arts
The Department of Education and Training have released achievement targets for each of the Learning Areas including The Arts.
These achievement targets or standards, define the expected performance of students at particular year levels in certain outcomes.
The standard for The Arts in Year 9 is defined at level 4 in relation to the Curriculum Framework outcome Arts Ideas.
According to Curriculum Assessment and Reporting Policy, public schools will report regular and relevant information to parents/caregivers on student progress and achievement.
The Arts are reported on to parents in the contexts of drama, dance, media, music and or visual arts.
