Contemporary Music
The WA Music Education Pack was created in collaboration with ArtsEdge, the Department of Education & Training and the Department of Culture & the Arts. The pack is an extensive contemporary music resource for teachers and is being distributed by the Western Australian Music Industry Association(WAM). The pack has been designed for generalist and music specialist teachers from Years 4 to 12. All activities are directly related to Arts Area Learning Outcomes and are labelled accordingly. The pack equips teachers with abundant content to take original, contemporary WA music into the classroom.
The pack includes:
- Ideas for classroom activities that are linked to a compilation CD
- Lesson ideas related to the music industry that are relevant across the learning areas
- An extensive help section that covers the basics of contemporary music
