ArtsEdge - On the cutting edge of learning

It's TERM ONE - let's have some FUN!

A big HAPPY NEW YEAR to all!  Hopefully your (school!) year has got off to a great start and you are all ready to dive into a huge year of arts in education!

It's been a busy time here with Artists in Schools:  The ArtsEdge guide for artists and teachers in Western Australia 07-08 not only being delivered to all public schools, but now available ONLINE here on the website!  We've been speaking to lots of school communities over the past couple of weeks about a whole collection of amazing projects that are being planned, and can't wait to hear how they progress.  If you've got ideas give us a call or send an email - it's what we are here for!

The Artists in Schools Case Studies publication currently being developed by the Department of Culture and the Arts through the team of Michelle Glaser and Jane Mitchell is nearly in production and will be a fantastic way to see what is already happening in schools around WA... not only can you be inspired by amazing stories and stunning photographs but there are all sorts of handy hints planned!  Watch this space!

We've also been lucky enough to catch up with our incredible arts practitioners and organisations and hear about their plans for the year.  If you are looking for awesome arts experiences for your school community - don't forget the ArtsEdge Calendar and Guide gives a week by week rundown on what's on... and there's lots of NEW happenings on the website!

Finally - our SPOTLIGHT ON SUCCESS will be part of the ArtsEdge website in the very near future thanks to Daniel and the team at bam creative.  Don't forget this is a chance for ArtsEdge to shine the spotlight your way... so if you are involved in an arts in education partnership SHOUT IT OUT!!!  We'd love to come out to share in the excitement whenever we can and feature the very best in arts in education in Western Australia online for the world to see!

So - as they say... that's all from us and now ON WITH THE SHOW!
