Western Australian Curriculum

The Western Australian Curriculum has been adapted from the Australian Curriculum and encompasses eight learning areas: English, Mathematics, Science, Humanities and Social Sciences, Health and Physical Education, Technologies, The Arts, and Languages.
Curriculum and achievement standards for The Arts have been released for school familiarisation.
Given the phased implementation of the Western Australian Curriculum, schools may be teaching some learning areas from the Australian Curriculum supplemented by learning areas described in the former Western Australian Curriculum Framework now replaced by the Western Australian Curriculum and Assessment Outline.
The Western Australian Curriculum is the Pre-primary to Year 10 curriculum that provides a coherent and comprehensive set of prescribed content and achievement standards which schools use to plan student learning programs, assess student progress and report to parents.
